At Home in Zala, in Europe - Women and young people in public life, in local communities

The aim of the initiative is to help build well-functioning, democratic local communities in small villages and towns in Zala county (West-Hungary), and to support the participation of young people and women in community activities. Participants will be provided with the knowledge, tools and opportunities for cooperation to strengthen their local communities, so that they can act in a self-organising way, supporting each other as a network at regional and county level. Participating women and young people from Zala will be empowered in their community roles and will be able to carry out their work in line with European values. Experts and mentors will help them overcome their difficulties and problems, and the participants will also develop a living, constantly evolving, supportive network among themselves, based on mutuality, trust, support and knowledge sharing.
