Young people often don’t have proper knowledge about disadvantaged groups, and social activism is even rarer among them. This initiative targets high schoolers from Baranya county, who will be provided with new knowledge through theatrical performances: “Sociopoly” about the extreme poverty prevailing in rural areas, and “Low-cost revue” about homelessness, respectively. The main aims of these are to alter the teenagers’ consciousness and attitudes by discussing experiences together. The teenagers will plan and implement an action on their own and be involved in discussing social issues together with their teachers. Moreover, with the aid of ‘Menhely’ Foundation they will meet people affected by homelessness in order to become informed about negative attitudes and CSOs’ work.
