Wake up Diósd!

The organisation from this small town located in the greater Budapest metropolitan area aims at making their home more people-friendly. Therefore, they organise club events to provide real community experience for the residents and initiate a conversation. During movie clubs important social themes will be discussed, and trainings focusing on civil rights will teach practical knowledge about autonomy and the assertion of interests. The community of residents formed in this proves will be tasked to plan and implement four civic actions, in which they use their acquired new skills. The main topics of these will be formed during the common discussions, and the aim is to provide a real experience of empowerment. As a result, the number of citizens who are actively interested in the town’s issues may increase, and the town could become more liveable and develop in accordance with to local people’s needs.
