Young people's solidarity and social responsibility are key to shaping the society of the future, but in many cases they lack the tools, knowledge and experience to act in solidarity. Involving young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in community life is particularly difficult, and the Egri Community Foundation aims to make a difference in this area.
Our aim is to activate and involve local young people in various community activities such as planning local projects, volunteering, developing a culture of giving and encouraging them to live solidarity in action. The project pays special attention to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and gives them the opportunity to become active participants in social change.
To achieve this goal, we are looking for working examples and innovative ideas through a study visit to community foundations abroad, which we can adapt to Hungary with the help of our two young volunteers. Such good practices can have a significant impact on the social engagement of young people and can help to build communities of solidarity.
Through this project, we want to empower young people and give them the tools they need to take action in solidarity not just as an idea, but to make a real difference in their community.
