The study trip focuses on Florence and its surroundings, with the aim of exploring international best practices in art, craftsmanship, and sustainable fashion. The visits will highlight programmes supporting sustainability and the integration of minority communities, such as the educational and artisan practices of Fondazione Pitti Immagine and Scuola del Cuoio. Artistic initiatives by Gucci Garden and Manifattura Tabacchi will showcase how activism can intersect with fashion and sustainability. Additionally, Artemisia's art therapy programmes promoting female empowerment and Museo Salvatore Ferragamo's sustainability-focused solutions offer further inspiration.
The study trip provides an opportunity to strengthen the culture and identity of Roma communities while expanding the sustainability practices of the strategic partnership between the Amaro Foundation and Romani. These two organisations play a key role in achieving the project's objectives.
Following the study trip, Amaro Foundation and Romani will launch a comprehensive communication plan, centred on online content that showcases the insights and inspirations gained during the visit. Special emphasis will be placed on social media platforms and a professional event on Roma culture and sustainability organised after the trip. In collaboration with the Amaro Foundation, the project's outcomes will be made available in an integrated form, both internationally and domestically.
