Szociokrácia: demokráciafejlesztés lakóközösségekben

CERV-FK02-2024-0817
CoHousing Budapest Association
Budapest

The project aims to raise awareness of sociocracy among Hungarian community developers and to test it in a Hungarian housing development project, so that residents can apply this new methodology. The indirect aim is to spread the practice of sociocracy in Hungarian CSOs, small communities and especially in condominiums. It makes their functioning more efficient and democratic and the experience gained increases the citizens' confidence in democratic values and functioning.
The direct target groups are community developers, CSO staff and residents of housing associations. The programme starts with an intensive sociocracy training for CSOs' community developers in the framework of an international knowledge transfer. Sociocracy is then applied as a pilot project in a community development process in a housing association. During this period, the continuous planning, adaptation and evaluation work of the community development participants allow us to adapt the international practice of sociocracy to the domestic conditions and needs.
The project strengthens the links between several Hungarian and Austrian CSOs. The cooperation can become a good basis for further dissemination and application of sociocracy and for a broad feedback of experiences and the development of a common knowledge base.
