Who has ever seen people with Down syndrome or neuroatypical young adults partying at Budapest Park? The project started from the idea that mental well-being requires safety and acceptance, yet natural shared spaces between disabled and non-disabled people are rare. To mark its 20th anniversary, MáSzínház organised the #jóarcparty, an inclusive birthday event at Budapest Park. It was preceded by a communication and fundraising campaign involving ethical photography training and a fundraising ambassador programme. The #jóarcparty on Friday was preceded by a flashmob, and followed the next day by the MáSnap, a series of open workshops and activities designed to create shared experiences. Donations collected during the campaign supported the sustainability of inclusive theatre activities and further inclusive events. The project also strengthened partnerships and inspired follow-up programmes such as the ELEGY Evenings.
