As part of its campaign titled 'Cleanliness is Half of Health! - Is it a right?' the association highlights the plight of vulnerable individuals who, due to deteriorating mental and/or physical health, are unable to maintain a clean and orderly living environment independently.
Why is this an issue? In many cases, living conditions decline to such an extent that domiciliary care workers are unable to enter the home to perform their duties. This creates a tragic situation where those in need are unable to access the care to which they are legally entitled.
During the project, in addition to professional cleaning teams sanitising the homes of 15 vulnerable people, a 'motivational weekly cleaning planner' was also produced. This publication provides support for daily routine tasks, helping to prevent the development of a 'cleaning crisis'.
The campaign also aimed to raise awareness as widely as possible about this issue and the importance of community care, while ensuring that vital information reaches professionals working in the field. All professional materials are available to download from the association’s website.
