Guardians of local democracy - a community network for a strong local society

The aim of the initiative is to strengthen local democracy in small communities by developing a community organising network, retaining groups previously reached by the CKA and reaching out to new ones, increasing their local advocacy role, watchdog function and integrating capacity.
Through networking workshops and public trainings and events, they strengthen groups, advocacy processes, linkages between different social groups, integrated work of ethnic and gender minorities, professional community organising and collective action on local issues through Month of Participation, Civic Walks, Public Workshops.
The results will contribute to more transparent decision-making and community advocacy, as well as to promoting the social inclusion of different disadvantaged groups. Strengthening the community organising network and increasing the capacity of the groups will enable more effective community work in the long term.
