Accessible museums

The initiative aims to promote the rights of people with disabilities in the field of cultural consumption. To this end, an online database of services available in museums will be created. In addition to the health check, the initiative will help to promote accessibility by raising awareness among museum staff, architects and environmental engineers. Audits will be provided to museums that are about to implement accessibility improvements to ensure that planned improvements are adapted to the needs of the target groups. The collaborations and the results achieved will be useful for both people with disabilities and museum professionals.
In addition, the initiative will seek to raise awareness among decision-makers about accessibility issues, gaps in legislation and the importance of addressing them as soon as possible. To this end, a stakeholder forum and a campaign will be implemented.
