The focus of the project is the Youth and Children Participation Budget (YCP). On the one hand, the project is about carrying out further pilots in new settings - residential institutions providing social assistance to children - which will widen the range of those where RC has been tried. This will be implemented in three institutions.
The second is to create an online platform and an offline coalition around the method. The online platform will bring together projects already implemented, present experts in the field, and make publications on the subject available. The creation of the coalition will strengthen the sharing of experiences, strategic lobbying and joint communication at national level.
Their aim is to give greater and collective visibility to what are currently occasional, experimental cases, and to make decision-makers and stakeholders aware of the benefits of the practice and its systemic potential. They want to build a conscious and strategic approach to its uptake. They would like to further expand the number of RCs in rural areas, especially in order to reach a more diverse youth/children's population - hence their choice to involve children from more vulnerable social situations. Their overall aim is to strengthen children's voices, to integrate their views more consciously at decision-making levels, to respond to their real needs and to involve them in decisions that affect them through democratic processes.
