Their project aims to promote the interests and rights of children with sensory processing disorder (SPD). Their activities are aimed primarily at parents of children with sensory processing disorder and professionals working with children with sensory processing disorder (pedagogues, nurses, paediatricians), but also indirectly benefit children with SPD, as well as non-affected children and their parents.
An information brochure on parental rights will be produced and distributed in the form of a printed leaflet and online to the parents concerned. Another information and educational brochure on the basics of SPD will be produced and distributed online to parents and professionals. Both publications will be accompanied by a FB campaign. A presentation methodology will be developed and awareness-raising lectures for teachers will be provided by volunteer ambassadors trained during the project. An intensive information Facebook campaign on practical aspects of the SPD will be organised.
Active partnerships will be established with concerned parents, educational institutions, health care providers and professionals. The project will increase awareness among parents and professionals working with children, reduce the stigma of atypical children and increase the number of affected children who can successfully participate in inclusive education. In the long term, they will promote acceptance of neurodiversity and contribute to a more inclusive society.
