There is little available and authentic information about the Roma. This violates the cultural and educational rights of Roma children, is reflected in the self-image of the Roma, and also contributes to the growth of prejudices. The aim of the action project is to present the most important figures of Roma culture and history and to raise the topic into the public discourse through a 15-part video series and, using them, a series of workshops for history teachers. The creators of the videos are the winners of a competition for children and young people. The competition is announced among schools and other organizations dealing with children and young people, supported by promotional events, and the winners are selected by audience voting. Applicants can use the 15 stories about Hungarian and international Roma persons that are part of the call, which are prepared with the involvement of historians and experts and the use of informative materials from the Roma Press Center.
