A közösség barátai – egy független tér a kecskeméti civilekért

The aim of the project is finding and operating an independent, civil community centre that is adapted to the needs of local NGOs working with the Bag Community Association of Kecskemét:
- flexible opening hours,
- support for diverse needs,
- open to grassroots ideas and programmes.
The civil community centre is non-political and respects the opinions of others. Programmes encourage collective thinking and collective action.
The organisations working together which are open to social problems and seek to solve them as far as they are able. The NGO community centre provides an opportunity for organisations to operate, a supportive environment for their renewal and development. The house is suitable for the operation of the Bag Community Association of Kecskemét, it supports the meetings between producers and consumers, and hosts handover days. Through workshops, lectures and training sessions, members and all those interested can gain new experiences and information on sustainable cities and good practices that shape democratic public life.
Target groups: producers and consumers; non-residential organisations and small communities; young people (16+); active adults and seniors.
