The Hungarian Trade Union Confederation, in partnership with the Hungarian Helsinki Committee, reaffirms the role of workers', trade union and collective fundamental rights, as defined in the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights under the title of Solidarity, in trade union advocacy and representation. The project will analyse relevant legislative and enforcement decisions from a fundamental rights perspective and will draw the attention of decision-makers to the need to ensure that workers' fundamental rights are properly protected. Model arguments will be prepared for use in advocacy meetings and litigation. Litigation plans and, where appropriate, legal procedures will be established to remedy violations of fundamental rights. Information and awareness-raising activities will be carried out through communication and training to raise the awareness of trade unions and workers of the importance of protecting fundamental rights and the possibility of seeking redress for fundamental rights violations.
